Saturday Memories

13 Dec

So, I’ve told you before about Jenna’s lack of motivation and interest in eating.  She will often hesitantly taste (just a teensy, TINY taste) foods and, weirdly, has almost always been interested in smelling it.  She seems to have always been very sensitive to smells and interested in smelling toys, balloons, hands, clothes, etc.  Here are two cute pictures of her in her highchair one day.  I had given her Teddy Grahams in yet another attempt to present her with interesting finger food, and she proceeded to inspect them by sniffing.  She was very intent on her task and, before long, I noticed what she was doing (I had forgotten that her paci was still clipped to her clothes by the way)…….

To fully appreciate the cuteness factor, you have to imagine the deep sniffing sounds she was making with them balanced right under her nose.  Mmmmm…..Honey Grahams!  And here’s another from popcorn time with Daddy:

Wow, she’s beautiful! And that sniffing thing is absolutely adorable.

Very cute. I sense lots of adorable party tricks in her future involving her nose! 🙂

If only sniffing chocolate satisfied me! Adorable.

That second picture is just AMAZING. The others are good too of course, but her EYES. WOW.

I can tell by those eyes that her heart is even bigger than her sense of smell!

That really is cute with the bear under her nose. I’m with Stacey, if only that worked for me too.

Ha! If only just sniffing food worked for me too! I wouldn’t even NEED my Get Fit Plan!

And, Heather, you’re right – her heart is exponentially larger than her sense of smell. If you were here right now, she’d easily give you a huge hug (with some back patting) and a kiss on the cheeks (or lips if you allow it). I think her heart has almost outgrown it’s toddler body. 🙂
