Indianapolis Children’s Museum

11 Nov

Here’s a collection of pictures from Jenna’s visit to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum with her friend E.  I hadn’t been to the museum since I was a kid, and it was even better than I remembered.  We’re going to have to go back again, because there’s no way we even saw half of the exhibits.  We still had a fantastic time.

Playing at the water table

Making sand pancakes (she never used to TOUCH sand!)

Little dinosaur

Carrying an egg.  Check out that tail!

Looks like a fun time. I love children’s museums. We have a couple of really great ones that I practically lived at when my kids were smaller.

Thanks for sharing. Did Jenna get a haircut?

Adorable! Thank you for the Chihuly pic. 🙂 And I love the Dora sneakers.

Is it easier to travel with Jenna now?

It’s cool that you have a Chihuly in Indianapolis. I’m from Tacoma, WA, and Chihuly grew up here, and did a lot of his work here, so we are kind of surrounded by it. We even have a Museum of Glass that has a hot shop where you can watch people blowing glass…it’s pretty awesome.

We’ve been thinking of driving up to Indy to go to the Children’s museum. I remember going as a kid and loving it. Seeing your pics makes me think it would be worththe 2 hour drive from Cincy.

Our downtown public library has a Chihuly, too. I love his work; think it’s beautiful and inspiring.

Photos of your daughter were inspiring, too. I’ve been to a few children’s museums, and yours looks to be the best for actually engaging the children at the right developmental level.

Thanks so much for sharing the photos!
