Two Reminders

01 Oct

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Men, think you’re exempt from this conversation?  Think again.  If you’re not doing self exams already, start feeling your boobies today.  Here are changes that might be an indication of breast cancer that would warrant a trip to your doctor.  Mammograms save lives.  Schedule one.  For more information on mammogram screening, click here.  You can also check out the link in my sidebar on the right for the “Feel Your Boobies” site.  If you want to help those who can’t afford it receive free mammograms, go to this site and simply click the big pink button.  With every click, advertising sponsors donate money to pay for mammograms for those in need.

Are you registered to vote yet?  If not, don’t wait another minute.  October 6th is your last chance (in some states it’s October 4th).  You can register online here, and it will only take approximately three minutes.  Yes, the Obama campaign is providing the site, but it’s simply a registration and information site.  I checked out several other online registration sites, and this one was the easiest, fastest and most user-friendly.  You can also check on polling locations, and early vote locations there (see the tabs across the top). You don’t become affiliated with or proclaim support for Obama by registering here.  It’s simply a website service.  If you need to know about voting rules for your state or about how to vote absentee, click here or here.  If you need to know when to vote, about voter law, or how to vote as an overseas citizen, go here.  For further registration and voting information, check the map here.  Plan to vote on November 4th.  Every vote counts.

Subliminal message: Vote Obama – Vote Obama – Vote Obama – Vote Obama – Vote Obama – Vote Obama

Just kidding.  Even though I might wish that it would work, {wink} today I’m only preaching about getting  fired up to exercise your democratic right to vote.  Read everything you can about the candidates, watch the debates, carefully consider the future of our children and our world, and choose wisely.  I trust you’ll make the right choice.  And if you DON’T vote??  No griping allowed.  About anything.  Wanna gripe?  VOTE!!

Can I vote and feel my boobies at the same time? I like to multitask, you know.

The last major election I didn’t vote for a candidate. I showed up to vote for the school bond and then left. I had lost hope and really thought, what’s the point?

SOMEONE, although still part of the jacked up machine of politics might jsut be another puppet is disguise, but none less, he gives me enough hope to get in my car and vote this year. Kuddos to him I guess.

I’m going to Maura’s polling place, just for entertainment value. Grope and vote.

That comment from Maura is hilarious.
I love the “feel your boobies” reminder. So funny.

And voting, yes. We should vote too. While feeling boobies.
