We have a set of these Mini Automoblox, and Jenna LOVES them. Today, we took them apart and put them back together four different times. That’s right! You can take them apart! The pieces are even easy to get apart and snap together, which is often (unfortunately, given toddler frustration levels) NOT the case with products geared toward toddlers. Here’s a picture of the complete set:

Notice that each vehicle has color coded pegs, holes, tires and roofs. This set can be used to teach color matching, fine motor skills, problem solving, visio-spatial processing, and a little creative engineering. Because, why simply stick with matching the colors to rebuild what you tore down when you can mix and match to create something like this:
Fun! And they’re not just for building! They’re incredibly fun to “drive” around. As a parent, I’m impressed with the craftsmanship and sturdiness. After many, many times of taking apart and rebuilding, the pieces still snap together securely, and the wheels roll smoothly. The vehicles are crafted of solid beechwood, rubber and polycarbonate, and they are finished to silky smoothness. They are rated for ages 3 and up, with the main “hazard” being the wheels and tires (both of which are removable). We keep ours on a shelf above Jenna’s head, and she asks when she wants to play with them, so we can help her.
Quality fun on wheels!
