Giggle Bug Toddler Tracker Giveaway

12 Sep

And the winner is: Insta-Mom (#8)!!  Congratulations!  I’m sure it will come in handy with keeping track of toddler twins!  (At least you’ll know where one of them is!)  Be watching for an email requesting shipping information.

Have you ever had one of those moments of panic when you looked down but your toddler was nowhere to be seen?  If so, you might want to consider the Giggle Bug Toddler Tracker.  The Giggle Bug has been featured by Parents.com as well as on Nanny 911.  Here’s how it works:  You clip that cute little bug unit onto your child’s clothing (preferably somewhere they can’t reach it and pull it off), and you carry the the hand-held remote.  To find your child, you simply push the button on your remote, and the Giggle Bug sounds a loud, distinctive “beep” until you find the child and reset the unit.  The Giggle Bug’s range is 75-100 feet indoors and 100+ feet outdoors, with variations based on environment and obstructions.

If your child or (God forbid) an abductor dislodges or removes the unit, it immediately begins to “beep” and flash until it is reattached.

*** Disclaimer To insure the safety and security of a child, close and constant adult supervision must be exercised at all times. The Giggle Bug is not to be used in lieu of close and constant supervision. The Giggle Bug is intended to be used as an aid in locating a lost child, in the event a child becomes separated from a caregiver. The product enhances but does not guarantee the ability to find a lost child and the manufacturer and distributors of the Giggle Bug cannot be held responsible for the loss or injury of a child.

Giveaway! One lucky reader will win the Giggle Bug Toddler Tracker!  To enter the contest, simply leave a message in the comment field (below).  Any comment will do this time.  Contest ends at 6 p.m. EST on Monday, September 22. One winner will be chosen via random number generator.  The winner must provide a valid email address and respond to prize notification within 3 days. After 3 days, your prize will be forfeited and another winner will be notified. Contest is open to all readers with a valid shipping address.

Well, it’s unlikely that the number generator would pick “1” but I’ll get things started. This is a very clever idea that I’m sure would be very useful…to someone other than me since I don’t have kids! 🙂 BUT I know lots and lots of fabulous mommy bloggers now, so I feel confident that I would find a very happy home for it!

My daughter is going through a running phase while we’re outdoors. She often scares the tinkle out of me!

I’ve looked at these before and never gotten one because N is so good at staying with us. But I also have twins who will be toddlers soon. I’m sure something like this is going to come in handy some day.

I agree with Insta-mom. When twins run in two different directions, it’s easy to lose sight of one for a few (hopefully just a few) heartstopping minutes.

Not only is this a great problem, but my toddler, Kate, we call Kater-Bug. She loves Lady-bugs & I know she would keep this on.

I could have used this today when my two year old thought it was funny to run and hide in the clothes racks at the Oshkosh outlet!

I just saw a similar item reviewed on my news station last night. With two kids it is easy to turn away for a second and have the other one gone. Would love to have this for when we’re out and about.

This would be so great to have and would make me feel a lot more secure when my child is out of my sight. I seen something similar to this on a commercial. Thanks so much for the wonderful opportunity!

It only takes a split second, doesn’t it? Hearing an immediate beep and knowing your child is within range and that you can get to that beep right away would help create some peace for those horrible gut-wrenching moments when they might wander out of sight.

If I start down the road of thinking about losing one of my children or someone take one of them, I won’t be able to sleep at all tonight. I will start browsing for GPS microchips to put under their skin so I can find them anywhere in the world. Only I can’t ever find this miracle product, so my children are clearly in imminent danger.

I frequent want to buy one of these ladybug things, but that would be admitting my extreme paranoia on the whole subject and I must try to act…. normal….

With two under three yrs old, this would be awesome to have! My littlest (17 months) has a tendency to run at the drop of a hat, so this would help to give me some peace of mind, especially when he’s out with daddy!
