Special Needs Sunday: Special Kids, Special Parents, Great Blogs

When I started finding parenting blogs (and getting hooked on them), I started searching for blogs of other parents going through medical and developmental issues similar to ours.  I never had much luck finding them.  Now, blogging has become much more popular, and maybe I’ve gotten better at searching.  At any rate, here’s a list of some great blogs from other parents who write about their special kids.  Get a cup of coffee and take a few moments to check them out.  Their stories are extraordinary.

Soy Is The New Black

Nora Thomas – Short Bowel Syndrome Survivor

Angel’s Wings 2008

Bo Blog (the crucible of joy)

Caleigh’s Corner

Carter Michael Cates

Carter Charles Maruska

The Short Gut News

Emerson White

Gavin Owens – Strong & Mighty

Leon Jordan Story with Short Bowel Syndrome

All the parents at 5 Minutes For Special Needs who also have their own blogs

If you know of other blogs of parents of kids with special needs, please drop me a note in the comments field with the web address for their site.  I’d love to check them out.

I welcome you to visit As a parent of a child with special needs, I source or write about random and useful news and resources that may be helpful for parents and caregivers. Enjoy.
