Fairy Smart Tee

04 Sep

When I came across this tee shirt at Wire & Twine, I thought it was genius! Just the day before I found it, Jenna was wearing a tee shirt with some sort of printed message. She’s currently fascinated by letters, so she looked down at her shirt and started pointing at each individual letter and naming it. I quickly realized that she was seeing them upside down, so an “M” looked like a “W.” Let me tell you, no amount of explaining that it was really an “M” would fly with her. She was quite insistent. My explanation that the words were right-side-up to me and people looking at her was met with a completely blank stare. Or perhaps she was pitying what she considered to be my complete and utter insanity.

Anyway, the folks at Wire & Twine must have had a similar experience. They have a line of Smart Tee shirts that include a train, a cow, a robot, a dinosaur, and a skeleton. At the bottom of each shirt, the word describing the graphic is printed UPSIDE DOWN where kiddos can easily see it. In addition, the entire alphabet is printed underneath the word, with the letters used in the word highlighted. Brilliant!

One more thing I love about the company? They give back a portion of the profits from their products to various charities. A percentage of the profits from the sale of each Smart Tee goes to Heifer Project International, one of my personal favorites.

While you’re there, check out their complete line of kiddo shirts that are all fantastic. I love the “Play Station” shirt. They also have a great line of adult shirts and miscellaneous goods.

Oh no, another store to bookmark and drool over! I love fairy items, and the fact that they give to charities makes it even better!
